Customer reviewsGreat bag but not perfect.
Nothing against Osprey but the shell and stitching of this bag appears and feels more thicker and more durable, and it does make the bag heavier compared to a same volume Osprey bag. I have the Syncro 10 by Osprey and I loved it s bladder valve system and weight more than the EVOCs but I needed something that s a little bigger and so I gave the EVOC Stage 18 a try and the quality is just amazing. It s so strong that it can be used as a hand carry and the slot for the bladder can fit a MBP. Love the 2 kind of straps for the helmet although I only use a half helm, the straps on the bottom dedicated for knee shoulder pads is great i actually use the straps for my heavier than a raincoat jacket if needed be and the shoulder and waist straps are wide, flat but comfortable. The only thing that I would have preferred and this is just my opinion is that I wish EVOC placed some tool pouches closer to the rear of the bag as well. There is just a big, empty open space and a small mesh pocket in there for a wallet phone keys and I believe placing more pouches there can at least distribute little but heavier items around different areas of the bag, and not all of them being in the front and in one location or pockets. The weight of extra tubes, multitools, CO2s adapter, a Leatherman multitool, PT chain breaker, etc all in one pouch tends to pull the bag back or away from your back. And second, the grab strap for the zippers to open this said pouch pocket can get snagged by a branch or anything and can accidentally be pulled down open and would have your stuff scattered all over or lost. A fix for now is to just tuck the straps inside the pocket then carefully line the velcro to shut it closed. A bag of this brand and price should hopefully address this in the future. I am planning to get a separate tool pouch to distribute and hopefully to balance my tools, gears and other stuff and regarding the strap, i have been just tucking it in inside and maybe add more velcro closures for additional piece of mind.
